Good morning folks, I just spotted a tweet from Seth at 2OceansVibe about Die Antwoord that was rather surprising. According to the blog post, Die Antwoord have a new celebrity fan who has just given them the thumbs up.

Clearly all the media and internet buzz about South African hip-hop trio Die Antwoord has not gone unnoticed across the pond. Die Antwoord have a new fan in the form of Limp Bizkit front man, Fred Durst, who had the following to say about Die Antwoord on Twitter recently:

I mean, his new favourite group, that’s HUGE!

Nice one Wes B, you beauty.

and what must certainly be the icing on the cake…

Ok, it’s not all good, some of Fred’s followers had a difference of opinion, check out what RuloRivas had to say in response to Fred’s waxing lyrical about the band.

Well, if Die Antwoord were buzzing before, they’re probably going to be on freaking fire now. I think it’s their crass, no bullshit style that resonates with Fred Durst and that’s why he likes them so much, who knows, we may even be hearing some "Zef" influences on the next Limp Bizkit album.

If you’re in dark as to who Die Antwoord are, check out the official Die Antwoord website or if you’re keen to find out what they sound like, check out some of the music videos from YouTube included above and if you want to stay updated, you can follow the band on Facebook or Twitter.

I also noticed that they have a new track available for download on the official Die Antwoord website, the new track is titled "Jou ma se poes in ‘n fishpaste jar" – ROFL!

Thanks for taking time out to read this and find out more about Die Antwoord, as always if you enjoyed this post, please consider spreading the love, or leave me a comment outlining your thoughts on the band, I’d love to hear from you.

  1. I love you music, you guys are rock star and Ohh just to let you know that I am a South African living in England and I used to Live in Athelone – Cape Town long time ago and even today I still have the memories of Cape Town, it is such a nice place I have ever seen, especially the weather in Cape Town is so nice and warm also beaches to name a few Hout Bay, Miuzenberg, Vish Hoek and I had time of my life at Sea Point – Cape Town. I would love to go back one day and experience the warmth and enjoy being on the soil of South Africa.

    • Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment, we look forward to you coming home for a visit then.

Have an awesome day and don’t let that UK weather get you down.

    • Hi Luca,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a reply — but your attitude could use a little work, if I had some extra money I’d throw in a few lessons for you at charm school.

I do however appreciate the information regarding the photo of Yolandi (which was not available at the time I sourced the image) and will include that information in the post to credit the photographer.

Just something to bear in mind – next time you want to point out that someone’s made a mistake & you would like to have them update it, leave out the namecalling ok. A simpe request to the site author along with the relevant information would suffice.

      Regards,
      Bronson
