Good afternoon everyone, I just received an interesting email from Marc Zandhuis at Cape Town Magazine notifying me about a editorial position that they’re trying to fill on the team and asking if I could help get the word out.

So, if you’re in Cape Town and think you’ve got the stuff to be the content production ninja for a leading Cape Town Digital Lifestyle Mag, then read on.

Here’s an excerpt of the communication which I received:

CapeTownMagazine.com will be launching their new design soon and we are looking for a junior/senior content producer to enjoy a great opportunity to be a apart of our introduction into the local market.

Having grown to over 5 000 readers per day we expect to grow to over 11,000 per day after launching the new site in 4 steps, including online guide making, social media integration, mobile sites, 2.0 formats and widgets etc. A hugely exciting time and a great team of 8 to work in and grow this online magazine to one of the top 30 websites in South Africa in the coming year.

You have a thorough understanding of writing for online – the ability to visit, see, write and conquer. Also the preparing, editing of events and optimising and growing search engine rankings as well as monitoring these rankings of current happenings are all part of the job as well.

If you live in Cape Town or are a visitor in this beautiful city, I recommend you to take the time out to enjoy a leisurely walk up to the summit of Lion’s Head to enjoy some of the most amazing views of Cape Town, surrounded by an amazing variety of flora and fauna.

It’s not often that Cape Town has thunderstorms like this, but this was one to remember. Mother nature put on a splendid show for us all.
